Secret Wood specializes in handcrafted rings that have been designed and made in Vancouver, British Columbia. Founded in 2015, their goal is to encapsulate tiny secret worlds at people’s fingertips. Secret Wood uses fresh wood, jewelry resin, and beeswax, creating the unique wearable experiences.
These materials might seem pretty humble, however, the combination of the wood and resin creates a stunning miniature landscape, full of trees, mountains, and stars.
Each handmade ring has been made to look as if it contains a secret, surrealistic world, complete with stalwart forests, twinkling snowfall, gusting winds or dazzling flowers. Every handmade ring has special details as gold flakes, swirls of ink coloring, or real flowers, imparting a magical touch to these tiny, wearable artworks.
Once it’s set in resin, it’s formed into an angular, stone-like shape giving different perspectives depending on what angle it’s viewed from. There are no two or more rings that are the same, and it’s a real wonder to stare into these microscopic realms that seem to encapsulate the wonder of the natural world within them.
Because of this meticulous attention to detail, it takes between four and five weeks to make a handmade ring—but judging from the glowing testimonials, the wait seems worth it!
